Waffle Salmon Sliders with cranberry sauce

Sweet and savory smoked salmon sliders with cranberries, alfalfa sprouts, and roasted pecans in a festive waffle bun. Whether you're hosting a cozy brunch or a grand holiday gathering, these sliders are a lovely option.

For the Mini Holiday Waffles

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For the Sandwich Filling

  • 14 oz package Kvaroy Smoked Salmon

  • 1 cup homemade cranberry sauce

  • 1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts

  • half red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans

  • Pepper and salt, to taste

DIRECTONS

Preheat your mini waffle iron.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.

Pour a small amount of batter onto the waffle iron, just enough to fill it. Cook until golden brown

and set prepared waffles aside.

Spread the cranberry mixture on one side of the waffle.

Top with a slice of smoked salmon, sprouts, red onion, and toasted pecans. Top with another waffle to make a sandwich.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
