As if grilling delicious salmon wasn’t enough, now you can do so while eating healthy, sustainably farmed salmon from Kvaroy Arctic, a third-generation family salmon farm in the Arctic Circle committed to bringing you the most delicious, sustainable fish while advancing the health of people and our planet.

Making salmon part of your weekly diet offers a wide range of health benefits. Rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and various vitamins and minerals, it is an excellent addition to any healthy diet and it can help to improve heart health, brain function, and overall well-being.

  • 1 large Kvarøy Arctic salmon filet (about 1 pound)

  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage leaves, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried sage)

DIRECTIONS

Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon filet dry with paper towels. Place it on a large plate or a shallow dish.

Create the sage-infused oil: In a small bowl, combine the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and chopped sage leaves. Mix well, allowing the sage flavor to infuse the oil. Let it sit for a few minutes to enhance the taste.

Season the salmon: Brush the sage-infused oil over both sides of the salmon filet, ensuring it is evenly coated. Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the salmon, covering it entirely. This step will enhance the flavor of the fish and help it develop a delicious crust when grilled.

Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

Grill the salmon: Once the grill is hot, carefully place the seasoned salmon filet on the grates, skin-side down. Close the grill lid and cook the salmon for about 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the filet. Avoid overcooking to keep the salmon moist and tender. Flip over and cook flesh-side down for 3 to 5 minutes.

Check for doneness: To ensure the salmon is cooked to perfection, use a fork to test if it flakes easily but remains slightly pink in the center. Once it reaches this stage, remove it from the grill.

Serve: Transfer the grilled salmon filet to a serving platter or individual plates. Drizzle with pan oil and garnish with a few fresh sage leaves for an added touch of flavor and presentation.

Enjoy your delicious Grilled Salmon Filet with Sage Infusion alongside your favorite grilled vegetables for a delightful meal.
